Chemical Automatics Design Bureau (KBKhA) RD-0209 is a single-chamber nitrogen-tetroxide/UDMH companion engine for tank pressurization on the original Proton second stage. The UR-500 second-stage block used one RD-0209 alongside three RD-0208 main engines. The recorded configuration has 569.7 kN vacuum thrust and 326 s vacuum specific impulse per engine, with the RD-0209 serving the tank-pressurization role.
