Rolls-Royce Tay family

Rolls-Royce Tay is a two-shaft turbofan family used in regional and business aviation. The Tay 620 and 650 power the Fokker 70 and Fokker 100, and Tay engines also serve re-engined Boeing 727s. Its architecture combines a wide-chord fan and low-pressure compressor with a separate high-pressure compressor and turbine system. A forced mixer combines cooler bypass air with the hot core exhaust to improve propulsive efficiency and reduce noise. Rolls-Royce continues to offer overhaul, on-wing and other support services for the fleet.
