RS-3 is the developing three-tonne-thrust-class upper-stage engine for Argentina's Tronador II. CONAE describes a regenerative chamber with 36 swirl injectors and a turbopump under development. The engine is also intended for preliminary use on the TII-70 technology demonstrator. A July 2025 government report describes MT-B propulsor hot-fire work at the Centro Espacial Teófilo Tabanera in the RS-3 development campaign, evaluating sustained operation and regenerative-chamber thermal behaviour. The report identifies VENG and CONAE as joint developers; this is development testing rather than a flight qualification claim.
