Al-Rhim Sat

Al-Rhim Sat is a student-led Jordanian 1U CubeSat project funded and managed by Al Hussein Technical University, with students from HTU and other Jordanian universities. Its planned LoRa radio payload would receive telemetry from wildlife-tracking collars in remote reserves. The team received a UNOOSA–Exolaunch launch opportunity and gives students responsibility for embedded systems, RF integration, power budgets and mechanical prototyping. In a 3 October 2026 presentation, the project leader reported completion of critical design review and procurement ahead of system integration review, with a commercial bus to be integrated and tested in Jordan. That presentation targets launch in 2027; the team’s 2026 IAC abstract specifies planned deployment in early 2027.
