AlfaSat Team
Historically important student-involved small-spacecraft team behind Al-Farabi-1 and Al-Farabi-2, Kazakhstan’s first university nanosatellites, launched in 2017 and 2018. Students helped develop Al-Farabi-1, while the wider AlfaSat lineage turned the missions’ experience into an educational CubeSat platform. Work included mission and spacecraft design, assembly and integration, testing, power and communications systems, onboard computing and software, ground systems, technical documentation, and flight-mission preparation.
