Beihang University's APSCO Student Small Satellite (SSS) team is a structured student spacecraft programme. Graduate students participate in actual small-satellite projects; the APSCO SSS project developed the 30 kg SSS-1, launched on 14 October 2021, and documents student spacecraft design, subsystem engineering, telemetry, remote control, mission-control and on-orbit verification. Beihang's current APSCO partnership is extending this hands-on microsatellite work.
