MIT Rocket Team is a continuing MIT student organization whose members design, manufacture, test, and fly custom solid-propellant motors and composite rockets, while building liquid-engine test infrastructure, avionics, recovery, and mission-control systems. MIT sources document static-fire testing, custom motors flown through P9100 scale, a fabricated 1.6 kN ethanol/LOX engine ready for hot-fire, and tested or flown projects including Prometheus, Helios, and Phoenix; planned projects remain distinct and no future outcome is claimed.
