Michigan Mars Rover Team (MRover)
Michigan Mars Rover Team (MRover) is a multidisciplinary University of Michigan student team designing, building and testing planetary-rover prototypes. Its work combines robotic arms, science instruments, custom electronics, autonomous navigation and astronaut-support tasks. At the 2026 University Rover Challenge it placed fifth overall, led the Autonomous Navigation mission and won the Systems Engineering award. It then placed third at the Canadian International Rover Challenge in Drumheller, with the highest score in Refreshment Delivery. The Canadian campaign also exposed arm-wiring and computing failures that informed continued troubleshooting and testing.
