Rice Eclipse is Rice University's student rocketry team, founded in 2014 and grown to more than 50 undergraduate and graduate members. It designs and fabricates launch vehicles, hybrid and liquid-engine work, avionics hardware and software, payloads, and flight-test systems for intercollegiate rocketry competitions. Rice sources document Archimedes' 26,000-foot 2024 first-place 30K SRAD Hybrid result, 2025 IREC launches and recovered payloads, and continuing Proxima, Titan II, Prometheus, and dual-stage development; planned future flights are not treated as completed results.
