The UVA Rocketry Team
The UVA Rocketry Team is a University of Virginia student organization with Competition and Research and Development branches. Students design and build annual IREC launch vehicles and develop a multi-year hybrid motor, avionics, flight computers, airbrakes, payloads, and propulsion systems. UVA sources document Sabre II's first-place 10K COTS solids and second-overall 2025 IREC result with intact recovery, plus earlier Sabre I launch/recovery; planned Sabre III work is not treated as a completed result.
