USC Rocket Propulsion Lab is a student-run USC Viterbi team in the Department of Astronautical Engineering that designs, builds, tests, and launches experimental rockets. USC Viterbi reports that its 2026 Daybreak mission reached 331,790 feet, carried payloads for other student organizations, and validated structures, avionics, recovery, and payload-integration capabilities; the lab is developing an in-house space program with redesigned propulsion systems.
