Vanderbilt Aerospace Design Laboratory (VADL)

Current Vanderbilt University student aerospace research and development laboratory and launch team. VADL designs, builds, tests, flies, and recovers rockets and novel payload systems for NASA Student Launch. Its 2025-2026 Stop, Drop and Roll rocket and HAUS payload placed second in the NASA University Student Launch Initiative, earned the labs ninth payload design award, and autonomously collected and analyzed soil after landing. This record covers direct rocketry, reusable launch vehicles, payload systems, flight testing, recovery, and aerospace research only.
