WPI High Power Rocketry Club
WPI High Power Rocketry Club is a Worcester Polytechnic Institute student team that designs, builds, tests, and launches high-power rockets and payload systems for rocketry competitions. Its current 2026 IREC plan is a 30,000-foot COTS rocket with a robotic payload. WPI's Capricornus reached 10,264 feet in the Spaceport America Cup, deployed its parachute, earned the Jim Furfaro Technical Excellence Award, and placed third in the Payload Challenge; future competition targets are not treated as completed results.
