WVU Experimental Rocketry is a student-run West Virginia University organization founded in 2013 that welcomes students from all majors to learn and build high-powered rockets. The team designs, fabricates, tests, and flies competition vehicles, sounding rockets, and scientific payloads through a student-teaches-student program; official WVU and team sources document the Shenandoah Sunrise 2025 IREC first-place 30,000-foot Student Researched and Designed solid-fueled result and continuing propulsion, composite, recovery, and outreach work.
