Khalifa University

A research university in Abu Dhabi offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral aerospace engineering programmes. Its Yahsat Space Laboratory supports CubeSat design, construction, testing and space-technology research. University students and researchers developed MySat-1 and DhabiSat through this laboratory. A July 2021 university report describes DhabiSat’s goal of comparing attitude-determination and control algorithms using directed camera observations, while MySat-1 returned images and tested a locally developed lithium-ion battery in space. These projects connect spacecraft hardware, control software, ground operations and research partnerships.
