Nagoya University is a Japanese research university whose official Aerospace Engineering department conducts education and research spanning aircraft, rockets, and satellites. The Fluid Dynamics Laboratory combines wind-tunnel experiments with advanced flow measurements. Its ν-BART low-speed tunnel supports aerodynamic and flow-visualization studies, while pressure-sensitive-paint calibration systems, particle-image-velocimetry lasers and high-speed cameras help resolve pressure and velocity fields. The laboratory also documents a supersonic jet and acoustic facility and a low-density tunnel transferred from Tohoku University; both are listed as under restoration.
