Public research university in Bucaramanga whose School of Mechanical Engineering hosts the Semillero de Cohetería UIS Aeroespacial (SCUA), a dedicated student aerospace-research seedbed founded in 2014. UIS students have designed and tested solid-propellant sounding rockets, rocket avionics and telemetry, CanSat payloads, and uncrewed aircraft through SCUA. No named aerospace degree was verified, so the university is retained as a research/team-backed zero-program exception.
