Apollo Command and Service Module Block I

Block I was the first production configuration of the Apollo Command and Service Module. CSM-009 and CSM-011 flew suborbital Saturn IB qualification missions in 1966; CM-012 was destroyed in the Apollo 1 ground fire; and CSM-017 and CSM-020 flew the uncrewed Apollo 4 and Apollo 6 Saturn V qualification missions. No Block I spacecraft carried a crew in flight.
