Atlas IIAS

Atlas IIAS was the highest-performance Atlas II configuration, adding four Castor IVA solid rocket boosters to the Atlas IIA and its stretched Centaur. Thirty vehicles flew successfully from Telstar 401 in December 1993 through NROL-1 in August 2004, serving commercial communications, solar science, weather, and U.S. national-security missions without a launch failure.
