Atlas IIIB paired the RD-180-powered, pressure-stabilized Atlas III booster with a stretched Centaur upper stage. The maiden AC-204 vehicle used a dual-engine Centaur; AC-205, AC-203, and AC-206 used single-engine Centaurs. All four IIIB missions succeeded between 2002 and the final Atlas III flight in 2005.
