Atlas SLV-3D/Centaur D-1A

Atlas SLV-3D/Centaur D-1A was the improved Atlas-Centaur configuration that became operational in 1973. The Atlas SLV-3D booster and Centaur D-1A upper stage launched missions including Pioneer 11, Mariner 10, and the two Pioneer Venus spacecraft, and formed the immediate predecessor to the commercial Atlas I generation.
