Avro Vulcan V-bomber Family
The Avro Vulcan was a British delta-wing strategic bomber developed to meet the postwar requirement for a high-altitude, long-range aircraft carrying the United Kingdom's independent nuclear deterrent. Its B.1 and B.2 variants combined a radical tailless delta planform with four turbojets, later shifting from nuclear deterrence to conventional low-level operations and the 1982 Black Buck missions before RAF retirement.
