Bell 47 Family

The Bell 47 was a pioneering light-helicopter family derived from Bell's experimental Model 30. It became the first helicopter certified for civil use in the United States and developed through open-cabin, enclosed-cabin, float, agricultural, trainer, medical-evacuation, and military H-13 variants. Its teetering two-blade rotor and later bubble canopy made practical helicopters familiar in civilian work, flight training, rescue, and public service.
