Bion-M recoverable biological research spacecraft

Bion-M is Russia's recoverable biosatellite family for long-duration studies of biological systems and materials in the space environment. The program carries animal, plant, microbial, cellular, and radiation experiments and returns the research capsule to Earth for post-flight analysis.
