BioSentinel is a NASA six-unit CubeSat and the first biological spacecraft to probe interplanetary space. Launched on November 16, 2022 with Artemis I, it flew past the Moon into heliocentric orbit and carries a microfluidic BioSensor for yeast-response experiments plus a TimePix radiation spectrometer; NASA extended the mission to continue collecting deep-space radiation data.
