The Boeing Model 307 Stratoliner was the first passenger airliner designed with a pressurized fuselage, allowing scheduled transport above much of the weather and at unprecedented altitude for its era. Boeing adapted its B-17-derived wing and tail engineering to a wide, comfortable cabin, then delivered a small fleet to Pan American and TWA before wartime service converted five aircraft to C-75 transports.
