Boeing 707
The Boeing 707 was Boeing's first production jet transport family and one of the aircraft that established long-range jet travel at airline scale. Developed from the 367-80 demonstrator, it entered airline service in 1958; later variants increased range and adopted turbofan engines for transcontinental and transatlantic routes. The family also supported cargo and government derivatives, while its six-abreast fuselage became the starting point for Boeing's later narrow-body jetliners.
