The Boeing 747-200C is the convertible version of the 747-200B series, certified by the FAA on April 17, 1973 for all-passenger, all-cargo, or mixed passenger/cargo configurations. Its upward-opening nose cargo door, reinforced main deck, and convertible interior made it a distinct multi-role branch between the 747-200B passenger aircraft and dedicated 747-200F freighters.
