Boeing XPBB-1 Sea Ranger Long-Range Patrol Flying Boat

The Boeing XPBB-1 Sea Ranger was a one-off U.S. Navy long-range patrol flying-boat prototype developed as Boeing Model 344. Its large hull and long range reflected the Pacific maritime patrol requirement, but changing wartime priorities redirected Boeing's Renton capacity to B-29 production before the type could enter series production.
