Delta 2000 Series

The Delta 2000 series combined the extended long-tank Thor-derived first stage with the Rocketdyne RS-27 main engine, three or nine Castor II strap-on motors, and the 2.44-metre TR-201-powered second stage. Two-stage and three-stage configurations flew, the latter using TE-364-3 or TE-364-4 solid motors. Forty-four vehicles flew from January 1974 through October 1981 across five exact configurations.
