Delta 3910 Launch Vehicle
Delta 3910 was a two-stage Delta 3000-series configuration with an RS-27-powered extended long-tank first stage, nine Castor IV strap-on motors, and the TR-201-powered second stage without a solid third stage. Three base vehicles flew successfully from 1980 through 1988, launching Solar Maximum Mission, IRAS, and a Strategic Defense Initiative technology payload.
