ESA’s Don Quijote is a contracted CubeSat designed to deploy from the RAMSES mission and operate on asteroid 99942 Apophis’ surface before its 13 April 2029 Earth flyby. It is intended to demonstrate autonomous asteroid landing and monitor the surface response; it remains in development.
