Fairey Battle British Light-Bomber Family

The Fairey Battle was a British single-engine light bomber ordered in large numbers during the rearmament rush before the Second World War. RAF units took it to France with the Advanced Air Striking Force, where its early missions exposed both the value and vulnerability of unescorted daylight bombing before the type moved largely into training and support work.
