Falcon Heavy is SpaceX's partially reusable heavy-lift launch vehicle, built from a strengthened center core, two Falcon-derived side boosters, and an upper stage. Its 27 first-stage Merlin engines provide more than five million pounds of liftoff thrust. Twelve missions flew through ViaSat-3 F3 in April 2026, using combinations of recovered side boosters and intentionally expended cores according to mission energy requirements.
