The Fokker F27 Friendship is a high-wing twin-turboprop regional-aircraft family conceived as a more comfortable and economical successor to the DC-3. Its pressurized cabin, rugged layout, and large family of passenger, cargo, combi, military transport, maritime-patrol, and survey variants made it a global short-haul workhorse. Fokker built the design in the Netherlands while Fairchild produced related F-27 and stretched FH-227 versions under license in the United States.
