Gaganyaan is ISRO's developing human spaceflight spacecraft for missions to low Earth orbit. Its orbital module combines a pressurized, Earth-returning crew module with an unpressurized service module that provides propulsion, power, thermal control, and other orbital support. Full-scale crew-module precursors have flown in the 2014 CARE re-entry experiment and the 2023 TV-D1 abort demonstration; the operational spacecraft is designed for up to three crew members and missions of up to three days.
