GÖKTÜRK-2 is a three-axis-controlled Earth-observation satellite design developed by TÜBİTAK UZAY with Turkish Aerospace. Its imaging configuration combines 2.5 m panchromatic and 5 m RGB sampling for observations from sun-synchronous orbit. The institute lists the spacecraft mass as 397 kg and identifies onboard computing, interface electronics, image compression and X-band transmission among its technology achievements. The flight article launched in December 2012. Its five-year design-life target was substantially exceeded in service. GÖKTÜRK-2 is a separate spacecraft design from the differently developed GÖKTÜRK-1 satellite and from later radar-imaging proposals.
