Hayabusa2 Spacecraft System

JAXA's Hayabusa2 spacecraft system explored asteroid Ryugu, collected surface and subsurface samples, returned its sample capsule to Australia in 2020, and continued as the Hayabusa2# extended mission. It completed a high-speed flyby of asteroid Torifune in 2026 and is scheduled to rendezvous with asteroid 1998 KY26 in 2031.
