HTV-X cargo spacecraft

HTV-X is JAXA's active uncrewed cargo-transfer spacecraft and the successor to the H-II Transfer Vehicle Kounotori. It delivers pressurized and exposed cargo to the International Space Station, then can operate independently as an in-orbit technology-demonstration platform after departure. The first vehicle launched in October 2025, berthed to the ISS, completed post-station demonstrations, and re-entered in May 2026.
