The Ilyushin Il-62 was a four-engine Soviet intercontinental airliner that carried Aeroflot and international operators across long routes from the 1960s into the early twenty-first century. Its rear-engine layout and long-range cabin made it the principal Soviet long-haul jet successor to the Tu-114, while the Il-62M extended the family in service.
