Juno is a solar-powered, spin-stabilized Jupiter-orbiter spacecraft built to investigate Jupiter's interior structure, atmosphere, magnetic field, and polar magnetosphere from a highly elliptical orbit. Its integrated dual-mode propulsion subsystem combines a 645 N LEROS-1B bipropellant main engine using hydrazine and nitrogen tetroxide with twelve monopropellant hydrazine reaction-control thrusters. The main engine supports major maneuvers, while the reaction-control thrusters allow translation and rotation around three axes and support most trajectory-correction maneuvers.
