The KAI KUH-1 Surion is South Korea’s first indigenous multi-role utility helicopter family developed by Korea Aerospace Industries with national defense partners. It entered Republic of Korea Army service after the 2006–2012 development program and supports troop transport, airfreight, amphibious operations, MEDEVAC, police, coast-guard, firefighting, and forestry derivatives; the family uses twin T700-series turboshafts.
