Kosmos 111 was the Soviet Ye-6S No. 204 lunar-orbiter spacecraft launched on 1 March 1966. During Earth-orbit operations its Blok L upper stage lost roll control and failed to fire for lunar injection; the stranded satellite reentered two days after launch. The spacecraft was an interim lunar-orbiter design derived from the Ye-6 lander bus.
