Kosmos 60 was the Soviet Ye-6 No. 9 lunar-soft-landing spacecraft launched on 12 March 1965. It carried an imaging system and SBM-10 radiation detector, but its Blok L upper stage failed to fire for translunar injection because of an I-100 control-system converter problem; the spacecraft remained in Earth orbit and decayed five days later.
