LADEE spacecraft
NASA’s Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) orbited the Moon in 2013–2014 to characterize the tenuous lunar exosphere, its composition and variability, and the environmental effects of lunar dust. The mission also demonstrated lunar laser communications before its planned impact on April 18, 2014.
