The Lockheed C-130H Hercules is the mature H-model tactical airlift branch of the C-130 family. Introduced in 1974 with four Allison T56-A-15 turboprops, it combines a rear loading ramp and rugged STOL capability with global cargo, troop, medical, rescue, firefighting and weather missions; later C-130J and missionized derivatives remain separate boundaries.
