Lockheed L-1011 TriStar Family

The Lockheed L-1011 TriStar is a three-engine widebody airliner family distinguished by an advanced automatic-flight-control system, a spacious twin-aisle cabin, and a carefully integrated center engine. The TriStar introduced highly capable automatic landing and flight-control features to commercial service and became Lockheed's final passenger-airliner programme. One modified example, Stargazer, remains operational as the carrier aircraft for Northrop Grumman's Pegasus air-launched rocket.
