Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star Jet Fighter Family

The Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star was the first full-production operational U.S. jet-fighter family. Designed by Clarence "Kelly" Johnson's Lockheed team during the Second World War, it evolved from the XP-80 into F-80 fighter and RF-80 reconnaissance variants and became a principal early Cold War U.S. jet aircraft.
