The A-7E Corsair II was the final U.S. Navy production version of the Corsair II light-attack aircraft. It introduced improved avionics and hydraulic systems, a multi-barrel M61 cannon, and the Allison TF41-A-2 turbofan; later aircraft received TRAM and FLIR attack sensors. The variant flew from carriers in Vietnam, the Gulf War, and other operations before retirement.
