Lunar IceCube was a 6U CubeSat launched on Artemis I in 2022 to prospect for water and other volatiles around the Moon. Morehead State University led the mission with NASA Goddard, JPL, and Busek; its BIRCHES infrared spectrometer and RF ion engine demonstrated compact lunar-science and propulsion technologies.
